All about the role:
The R&D Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing product components (metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded parts), subgroups, and modules. This role involves driving global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions, developing innovative technical solutions, concepts, and innovations aimed at cost reduction and enhancing product experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Skilled in using 3D design tools (Catia or UG/NX as preferred) for products development.
- Design new parts according to the product specifications
- Focus on manufacturability and cost driven solutions
- Optimize existing product components, subgroups, and modules.
- Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and assembly principles of materials like metal sheet, plastic, cast&molded
- Drive global implementation of new and technically efficient solutions.
- Develop and bring to life new technical solutions, concepts, and innovations.
- Release technical documentation on global mechanical components and subsystems within the PLM-System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Simulation competencies as preferred.
- Strong aptitude for technical details.
- Ensure respect for cultural diversity and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
- Familiar with R&D procedures and related tools and the product development process from products’ concept to mass production.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/Electromechanical/Electronics engineering or equivalent educational background.
- Knowledge/understanding of home appliance products (or similar products)
- Experience in consumer goods product development is a plus
- Experience in a related field.
- English language proficiency is preferred.
- Proactive attitude and open mind for new things.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at Hangzhou Plant in China, No. 18 Street, Qiantang District. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling.
