Job Description
Shift Pattern/Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. A total of 40 hours per week.
Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Wire panel back-plates, doors etc. from circuit diagrams and panel layouts provided.
- Ensure electrical build quality is of the highest possible standard.
- Electro/mechanical installation of control cubicle components and field components.
- Terminate and secure external cabling to the correct points in the control panel.
- Install PLC & HMI programs
- Carry out earth continuity, insulation, and pre-delivery testing
- Where necessary, perform remote support and on-site support to breakdown situations.
- Where necessary, perform on-site machine commissioning.
- Where necessary, conduct operator and technical training at clients’ sites or at Proseal.
- Perform on-call and service duties as per service rota.
- Must seek to keep the workshop clean and tidy at the end of each working day.
- The jobholder should be aware that on occasion, working outside of normal hours will be required, both within the UK and overseas.
What we would like to see from you…
- Time served electrician, with experience of industrial control system wiring and fault finding.
- 18th Edition certified.
- Experience of working with PLCs, servo drive systems and AC inverters.
- Experience within the food industry an advantage.
- Must possess a current driver’s license.
