THE OPPORTUNITY
The Finance Lead in Hong Kong & Macau is responsible for leading the finance function to develop and execute finance strategy to support business growth under the dynamic business environment in Hong Kong and Macau and also contributing to the Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan cluster finance function.
Acting as a business partner, this role is expected to demonstrate strong finance and business leadership by working closely with other leadership team members and by leading a strong finance team that focuses on business partnering, value creation, compliance, and talent development.
The Finance Lead is also responsible in contributing and shaping the overall Finance talent landscape for AP (e.g., supporting stretch assignment, mentoring, coaching key talents), promote the engagement and healthiness of Finance community, and contribute to the implementation of Five Pillar Strategy.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
1.Prepare budget plan, financial planning, and special projects to profitably grow the business and delivershort and long term goals;
2.Actively partner with business leaders to ensure statutory reporting - review and certify financialstatements on a timely fashion
3.Provide financial perspectives for the decision making of Finance Director of Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan cluster, and Cluster LeadershipTeams (LT), and business partners;
4.Ensure the company's financial and tax matters are managed effectively and efficiently and are in compliancewith accounting principles, tax rules, government regulations and internal policies;
-Operational efficiency and continuous process improvement.
-Oversee end to end financial processes & implement processes to enhance internal controls
5.Ensure compliance and strong internal control environment;
6.Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with internal and external partners
7.Prepare analysis and presentations for actual financial results for review within the organization
8.Create externally-focused operating culture throughout the organization which emphasizes diversity andinclusion, collaboration and teamwork, personal accountability and continuous improvement;
9.Focus on the finance agenda including the finance transformation, partnership with shared service teams,working capital management, and finance talent management to continuously improve performance of Finance;
10.Ensure that company financial systems and processes are robust, compliant and support current activities andfuture growth.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Requirements and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting or Finance;
•Professional qualifications in finance or accountancy
•Good knowledge and practice of US GAAP and internal controls; CPA or any equivalent qualification is preferred;
•Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
•Good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
•Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change/ uncertainties
•Managerial experience gained from sales & marketing companies, preferably from pharmaceutical, medical,consumer healthcare or fast-moving consumer goods [FMCG] industry.
•Familiar with operating environment of multinational corporations, preferably in American MNC.
