Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking
Job Description
Job Purpose
The RM will work closely with senior bankers to provide overall relationship management support, contribute to the revenue and asset growth targets of the Unit, while maintaining high client service standards.
Key Result Areas
- Establish and manage banking relationships with corporate clients in line with New York’s corporate banking strategy.
- Coordinate with senior bankers and product partners to provide a comprehensive range of solutions to the client – covering loans, trade, treasury, corporate finance, global transaction banking.
- Successfully drive facility utilization and cross sell by actively engaging the client, identifying their needs and providing excellent customer service.
- In coordination with various stakeholders - prepare call reports, term sheets, transaction return calculations, credit capital allocation approvals, credit approvals and any other analyses crucial to facilitate client origination and deal execution.
- Execute all client acceptance, client onboarding and due diligence procedures – including obtaining and analyzing the client annual reports, business plans, company filings, financial forecasts, external credit reports - to ensure high-quality analysis and KYCs are produced.
- Preparation of timely and accurate MIS statements and reports of the unit to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Ensure compliance, audit, governance and risk control processes are adhered to.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines. Master’s degree or equivalent from a business school/ university, not required but would be a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relationship management experience within the context of Corporate Lending preferable.
- Good credit analysis and report writing abilities.
- Experience with capital market products, trade finance and corporate finance preferred. Exposure to large conglomerates or MNCs preferable.
- Team player with strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and drive.
Budget: $175,000 - $225,000
