Description
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting – producing forecasts of construction value put-in-place forecasts for the Americas. This includes national forecasts for all countries and state and county level forecasts in the USA.
- Profile Building – establishing yourself as the trusted expert on construction in the American market. This includes media engagements, conference presentations, and working with the sales and marketing teams to sell both our various construction forecasting services.
- Client Engagement – be the key point of contact for all construction clients in the Americas.
- Team Collaboration – collaborate closely with both the broader Global Construction Team (staff based in Australia and the UK), and with your North American peers across Oxford Economics which includes a newly formed Construction Advisory team.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field
- Minimum 3 years experience applying economic analysis in the construction sector
- Demonstrated experience communicating economic ideas and concepts to a diverse range of audiences
- Demonstrated experience of creating and applying economic models to produce forecasts
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a strong sense of initiative and drive
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify market opportunities and ability to work with the sales and marketing teams to promote our construction content
- Experience managing and developing staff
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to clients and senior executives
- Willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Willingness for flexible working hours to enable collaboration with team members outside the Americas.Proficiency in a programming language is preferred but not required
