Job Description
Job Summary
Group Therapist is responsible for clinical services provided to children, adolescents and/or adults, as assigned. The clinician is held accountable for all related clinical, administrative, and Quality and Compliance responsibilities.
The Group Therapist would be responsible for providing clinical support for the Highwood community and community programing/events. Will help run art and community support groups 3-4 times a week. Will also be available to sub for other days when needed. Will also support summer programing groups and camp.
Essential Responsibilities and Metrics
- Provides Group Therapy, Counseling and Crisis Intervention to Clients and their Families (Provides high-quality service and maintains direct service hours per month of 55% with a minimum of 15 clients plus groups)
- Creates IMCANS (IATP) Assessment (Completes IATP within 30 days of initial meeting with client, modifies and reviews as needed, updates and records IATP in CIS as needed and ensures updates are completed prior to six months due date)
- Provide support for the Highwood and Highland Park community and participate in community outreach activities (10% will be outreach and community support)
- Case management
- Program planning and development and other administrative work 35%
- Client centered consultation with community providers
- Attendance and participation at clinical presentations
- Use of supervision or consultation when required or needed
- All Progress Notes will be entered into the medical record as soon as possible but in no more than three business days of the date of service
- Compliance with all Policy and Procedures
- Maintain productivity goals as determined by supervisor
- Keep weekly schedule current
- Be responsive to the business office regarding client fees/payments
- Complete requests time off in a timely through the Program Director
- Participate in Accreditation and Certification processes as directed
- Participate in Committee Work as directed
- Participate in Strategic Planning as appropriate
- Participate in Community Related Services as appropriate
- Represent the agency with integrity
- Minimum requirement of a master’s degree in Art Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or another human service-related field.
- Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical work
- 1 Year of post master’s degree Mental Health experience required
- Demonstrated awareness of multiple cultures and cultural impact on the delivery of service is a must.
