This role will ensure that Castrol’s global teams follow global data privacy and AI standards and you will support the Data Privacy Managers in their day-to-day activities.
In this role, you will support the Data Privacy function of Castrol to complete data mapping and risk logging activities whilst also providing triage between business collaborators and Data Privacy Manager. Knowledge of global Data Privacy regulations and risk administration will be important for this role.
In this role, you will be responsible for the completeness of Data Mapping activity, ensuring that all information is ready for Data Privacy Manager assessment, whilst also helping to define and document data privacy use cases with business collaborators. You will also be responsible for the review and management of Transparency information within our customer journeys and Data Privacy notices, including identifications of risks and issues for Data Privacy Manager partner concern.
You will have experience in Data Privacy with an eagerness to learn more, alongside a passion for identifying and managing risks to help improve customer trust in Castrol!
WHAT YOU WILL DELIVER
Work with business to ensure all assessments and Records of processing activities are detailed and complete ready for review including links to Information Technology and Contract Management logs
Provides initial review of completed assessments and triages the risk of assessment. Where risk is low, work with business to sign off OneTrust Assessments and Record of Processing Activities
Conduct reviews and assessments of completed requests to ensure information remains accurate and up to date
Works with business and Data Privacy Manager to tirage and manage ongoing business requests. Reviews request for support from the business to understand if this request for support can be managed by self-serving or with existing resources
Work with Data Privacy Manager to update business risks and interaction logs to ensure the Castrol Data Privacy function have a clear view of risks and where support is required
Support Data Privacy Manager to maintain and update a log of all relevant Data Privacy Notices, ensuring that transparency information is clear for customers in our products and services.
Periodically review Castrol’s products and services to ensure compliance with applicable Data Privacy laws, including (but not limited to) scanning of web pages and apps for cookies and trackers.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESFUL:
Experience of Data Privacy, including experience and knowledge in Data Mapping
Solid grasp and awareness of domestic and global privacy laws, alongside experience of the logging and management of risks
An interest in Data Privacy, and a willingness to learn more whilst working as part of a global function.
Understanding cookies and trackers and how to manage e-Privacy requirements.
Collaborator management, experience of working as part of a wider team, effective communications skills and a proven track record of administering and managing risk.

This role is based within the Data Privacy function embedded within Castrol’s Marketing department, coordinating all privacy activities across Castrol, including, but not limited to: Marketing, People & Culture, Technology, Legal, Corporate Secretary, and Finance.
