We are looking to bring a Senior Business Analyst (Individual) onto our Individual Project Management team. The Senior Business Analyst (Individual) plays a key role in contributing to the on time and on budget success of various projects by accurately capturing the requirements and scope. This role typically works on smaller initiatives and/or works with a more Senior BA on mid-sized initiatives. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.  What you’ll do: Work with stakeholders to understand, question, and clarify business needs Translate business needs into clear, structured, and testable requirements Break down complex problems into manageable, prioritized work (MVP vs future phases) Support delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, built correctly, and aligned to business goals Participate in and support UAT to validate solutions meet business needs before release Assess impacts of changes and support issue resolution and continuous improvement   What you’ll bring: 5-7+ years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise environments Strong understanding of insurance or financial services Ability to think critically and challenge requirements that don’t make sense Proven ability to turn ambiguous needs into structured requirements Experience supporting end-to-end delivery (requirements through validation) Hands-on experience with UAT and validating solutions with business users Ability to prioritize requirements based on value and risk Experience working across multiple systems and teams Strong stakeholder communication and ability to drive alignment Works well with autonomy as well as in a team Ability to mentor newer BAs Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience FLMI designation (or working toward) considered an asset What’s in it for you: Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and development opportunities  Total Rewards: Incentive pay, annual salary reviews, employer-paid benefits and pension matching  Time Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each year Flexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind, complemented by a “dress for your day” approach.
