Your impact

Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and electrical maintenance to a high standard for all electrical equipment located in the Process Maintenance Departments area of responsibility. This includes the Process Plant (Milling/ crushing)

As part of our team, you will

• Ensuring all maintenance electrical works are completed in a safe manner and in compliance with established safe work procedures and systems.
• Identifying resources required to complete electrical maintenance works.
• Ensuring the electrical maintenance plans in their areas are efficiently carried out.
• Responding to unscheduled maintenance work so that impact on the operation is minimised.
• Assisting with the Supervision of contract personnel to ensure completed work in carried out safely, efficiently and effectively.
• Relief duties for site electrical supervisors as required.
• Contribute to site safety management/programmes/improvements.
• Contribute to the safe and productive improvements of processes and practices within your work area.

Prerequisites for your success in the role

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• Current W.A. Electrical Workers Licence
• Current “C” Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
• Demonstrated Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical, electronic and instrumentation, commonly installed in treatment plants with reference to gold plants.
• Minimum of three years post trade experience desirable.
• High Voltage Switching Certificate desirable
• High Voltage Experience.
• First aid certificate

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity at Newmont’s Boddington Gold Mine in Western Australia, operating on an 8/6 7/7 roster supporting the Process Plant which includes Crushing and Milling.
