Role summary
This role sits within Global Payment Operations and is a Senior Manager Payment Operations position with primary responsibility for the Global Payment Gateway.
You will act as the functional owner and Product Manager of the global payment gateway platform, a core component of Circle K’s payment infrastructure enabling secure and reliable payment processing across markets, channels, and payment methods.
The role focuses on ensuring the gateway delivers on business needs, operational performance, and regulatory requirements while driving its ongoing development. It also includes ensuring compliance globally across all markets and payment flows.
Key responsibilities
Own the Global Payment Gateway as Product Manager with responsibility for vision, roadmap, and priorities.
Translate business, operational, and compliance needs into clear and actionable priorities for technology teams.
Drive global integration with POS, fuel systems, digital channels, and external payment partners.
Coordinate delivery across Europe and with North America.
Ensure performance, resilience, and global regulatory compliance of the gateway platform.
Enable onboarding of new payment methods, channels, and markets.
Profile
Senior experience with payment platforms, gateways, or complex integrations.
Strong understanding of payment systems, APIs, and vendor-driven delivery models.
Ability to bridge business and IT and drive execution across teams.
Experience from regulated environments (e.g. PSD, DORA).
Knowledge of PCI standards and payment security frameworks is an advantage.
Comfortable working globally across regions and stakeholders.
Role positioning
Senior leadership role within Global Payment Operations.
Primary responsibility is the Global Payment Gateway.
Requires full functional ownership, not only backlog management.
