Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled professional with around 6+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, SQL, Data Modeling, and Microsoft Power BI. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, advanced SQL programming, and building interactive reporting solutions. This role requires hands‑on knowledge of scripting, data source integration, and advanced visualization development in Power BI, along with experience in Azure Data Platform and Databricks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks.
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex T‑SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Perform end‑to‑end debugging of ADF pipelines, Databricks jobs/notebooks, and SQL Server procedures.
- Develop and maintain data transformation logic using PySpark in Databricks.
- Ensure data quality, cleansing, and transformation across systems.
- Implement and manage data governance and security in ADF, SQL Server/Azure SQL, and Databricks (including Unity Catalog).
- Collaborate with business and analytics teams to support Power BI reporting requirements.
- Build interactive Power BI reports and dashboards with drill‑down capabilities (account, product, cost‑centre).
- Create advanced visualizations (slicers, maps, scatter plots, heat maps, tree maps, etc.) and publish reports to Power BI Service.
- Configure Power BI gateways, schedule dataset refreshes, and manage mobile dashboard access.
- Document technical designs, data flows, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and SQL Azure.
- Advanced proficiency in T‑SQL (query optimization, indexing, stored procedures).
- Hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks (PySpark, notebooks, workflows).
- Deep understanding of relational and multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards.
- Good to have Power BI: data modeling, DAX queries, Power Query, publishing, scheduling, and security.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization techniques and ability to create consolidated views from multiple datasets.
- Good to have in data governance, role‑based access control (RBAC), and security best practices in Azure.
- Excellent communication and business analyst skills; ability to interact with stakeholders.
- Prior Business Analyst experience preferred but not mandatory.
