Job Description
Job Summary
The Processing Manager is responsible for ensuring the processing function achieves maximum production. Primary responsibilities include the supervision of a team of loan processors to ensure that mortgage loan packages are processed according to established policies and procedures of the Company and applicable Investors and/or Agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the processing function focused on daily workflow and pipeline management. Works closely with the production team to ensure loans are moving through the approval process.
Provides and promotes a high standard of customer service for internal and external customers. Ensures the processing team is in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
Performs human resource management activities including evaluating performance, recruiting and retaining top talent.
Handles exception items. Resolves complex and escalated items.
Tracks performance and monitors daily business. Prepares, reviews and distributes reports.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
Minimum five years mortgage processing experience
Minimum three years supervisory experience required
Functional/Technical Skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage workflow and priorities
Full understanding of retail loan processing/closing requirements
Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents, loan origination program and underwriting guidelines
Demonstrates a commitment to quality customer service
Strong attention to detail
Well organized with the ability to multi-task
Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Direct experience in coaching and mentoring others
Proficient in all compliance-related regulations including RESPA
Strong mathematical skills
Strong PC skills (MS Office products) and experience with mortgage origination systems

Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
