Technical Manager - Instrumentation

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

1.  Engineering experience in Instrumentation and Control systems for more than 20 years in Oil and Gas Industry with excellent knowledge in all Oil and Gas related instruments and Control Systems and associated equipment/design.
2. Heading Instrumentation team along with review and verification of inputs as per the project requirement.
3. Knowledge and experience of applying codes and standards such as CSA, API, ANSI and ISA.
4. Doing Technical review for the deliverables like Instrument datasheets, Instrument Index and Instrument I/O list, MTO's, Loop diagram, Cable Schedule, Instrument location plan, Hook up drawings, Cable Tray Layout, JB Wiring drawing and other PLC / DCS connections etc.,
5. Interface with the other engineering disciplines to ensure a coordinated design and that project engineering deliverables are completed.
6. Provide and demonstrate leadership in accordance with Environment Health and Safety program to establishing a strong safety culture within the organization and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
7. Responsible for design scope review & proposal preparation
8. Responsible for effort estimation towards win-win methodology
9. Preparation of clarifications / input list & coordination for availability at right time
10. Drive for KPI's (Quality & On time delivery)
11. Responsible for resource allocation to meet project requirements
12. Monitoring & engagement of resources towards better utilization
13. Report preparation as applicable (Team, projects, program)
14. Competency update of team (Training & Development)

Key Skills:

1.  Bachelor/Master of Engineering in Instrumentation & Control Engineering
2. Should have good design knowledge in Petroleum industry and oil & Gas projects
3. Should have good communication skills to interact with Global customers
4. Good technical reasoning, analytical and monitoring skills
5. Knowledge in AutoCAD, Smart plant Instrumentation (INTOOLS) software.
