
Client Portfolio Accountant –English proficiency

We are seeking a talented individual to join our finance team at Marsh. This role will be based in Bogota . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, including various captive insurance companies and other clients, handling their day-to-day financial activities. The role involves preparing financial statements, maintaining client relationships, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting audit processes.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare financial statements accurately and timely, including supplemental financial information required by clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with a portfolio of international clients, familiarizing yourself with their specific rules and regulations.
- Reconcile cash and investment accounts, prepare bank deposits and cash disbursements.
- Plan and complete annual audits, including preparation of regulatory filings and GAAP financial statements.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for local accounting and financial reporting.
- Maintain client files according to regulations and best practices.
- Correspond with other service providers and prepare materials for board and committee meetings.
- Comply with Marsh internal controls and any client-specific internal controls.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you need to have:
- CPA designation or CPA enrolment preferred, OR 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial statement preparation, working paper files, and General Ledger.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent. Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and confidence to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and with external clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
