Mission of the Position:
The NVH Engineer will be responsible for performing the NVH testing, analysis, and simulation activities for product/system creation, and/or verification for innovation and development projects, utilizing internal and external resources. Ensure an understanding of NVH best practices in the design and engineering processes to guide.
Key Responsibilities:
Promote systematic use of NVH best practices early in the design process to prevent failure modes in products and assist in problem resolution.
Instrumental in applying engineering principles to guide the creation of new and modification of existing product/concepts.
Support and execute the NVH development plans to ensure objectives and deliverables are predictably and consistently achieved.
Proficiently use the NVH instrumentation, hardware and software of the Department to ensure success.
Keep abreast of NVH technology trends in the automotive/powertrain industry for planning projects.
Direct the internal and external presentations and interpretation of NVH test and simulation results for design reviews, sales and marketing and quotations.
Support the development of NVH development methods and the integration into existing/emerging engineering development processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
3 – 5 years of NVH testing, analysis, and simulation related work experience required. Experience with development of driveline products preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering required
Demonstrated troubleshooting of in-vehicle & bench NVH concerns
LMS Test.Lab previous experience required, Discom experience is a plus
Strong product development, planning and analytical skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in NVH test analysis tools and methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills.
