Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday
AM Shift: 06:00am – 14:00pm
Salary: £27,573.14 per annum + shift allowance £1,203.80

Job Summary
We are looking for a safety-focused and experienced Processing Operative / Front Loader Driver to join our team at Furzebrook.
This role is primarily focused on operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel (Front Loader) within a busy mineral processing operation. You will be responsible for safely moving materials around site, loading lorries, maintaining stock bays and supporting production activities to ensure processing and dispatch targets are achieved.
The role combines mobile plant operation with wider site responsibilities, including inspections, housekeeping and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The Job Role
Operate a Wheeled Loading Shovel safely and efficiently in accordance with operating procedures.
Move materials between stockpiles, holding bays and processing areas.
Carry out loading duties for dispatch and customer deliveries.
Complete pre-shift inspections and safety checks on mobile plant.
Maintain safe and efficient material flow across the site.
Carry out site cleaning and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Complete operational records using digital systems and tablets.
Support site operations and additional production activities where required.
Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.
Report incidents, hazards and equipment defects promptly.
Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives. citeturn6search1

About You
You are an experienced mobile plant operator who puts safety first and enjoys working within a busy industrial environment. You are reliable, adaptable and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
You take pride in maintaining high housekeeping standards, completing equipment checks thoroughly and contributing positively to site performance.
You Will Have
Full Car Driving Licence.valid in the UK
Minimum 2 years' experience operating a Wheeled Loading Shovel / Front Loader.
Good numeracy, literacy and basic IT skills.
Understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures.
Experience working within a production, quarrying, mining, aggregates, waste, recycling or similar industrial environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work safely and effectively in an operational environment. citeturn6search1
Desirable
Current Wheeled Loading Shovel Licence.
Experience within mineral processing, quarrying, aggregates, recycling, ports or bulk material handling environments.
Experience completing daily plant inspections and operational checks.
Familiarity with digital recording systems and tablets. citeturn6search1
