This newly created position sits at the heart of the EMEA Operations Office, offering you the chance to work closely with knowledgeable colleagues in a supportive and inclusive environment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that operational resilience is embedded across the organisation, supporting governance forums, regulatory compliance, and change management activities. With exposure to high-profile projects and direct involvement in shaping key processes, this role provides a unique platform for your career development within one of the world’s leading banks. If you are looking for a role where your attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and commitment to excellence will be valued and nurtured, this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact while benefiting from flexible working opportunities and ongoing training.
What you'll do:
- Support the coordination and administration of operational resilience change activities across EMEA by triaging change requests, monitoring shared mailboxes, and providing assistance at project forums including minute taking.
- Maintain the change management log with meticulous attention to completeness, accuracy, and timely updates while supporting the production of associated management information.
- Assist in preparing high-quality materials for governance forums such as weekly team meetings, ensuring all deadlines are met and standards are upheld.
- Provide comprehensive governance support to operational resilience committees by tracking actions, maintaining attendance records, updating terms of reference documentation, and taking minutes.
- Administer the operational resilience document repository (such as SharePoint), ensuring all documentation is controlled, structured logically, and easily accessible for audit purposes.
- Support periodic reviews and maintenance of operational resilience procedures and documentation so they remain aligned with internal governance standards and regulatory expectations.
- Track and report on operational resilience gaps and actions by engaging stakeholders to ensure timely progression and closure of outstanding items.
- Contribute to the production, validation, and enhancement of operational resilience management information including dashboard health checks and regular status reporting.
- Maintain governance artefacts related to Important Business Services (IBS) and Critical or Important Functions (CIF), ensuring all records are accurate, consistent, and audit ready at all times.
- Assist in quality assurance activities across key deliverables such as IBS/CIF mapping, post-test reporting, supporting materials for governance approval, as well as coordinating annual training requirements.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience operating within operational resilience, non-financial risk or change governance functions within financial services environments is essential for success in this role.
- A good understanding of EMEA operational resilience regulatory frameworks such as PRA or ECB/DNB expectations is required so you can effectively embed resilience considerations into governance processes.
- Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical controls, frameworks or operating models across large organisations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging with stakeholders at all levels while producing clear written materials for governance forums.
- Strong interpersonal skills enable you to build effective working relationships within a collaborative team environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensures accuracy when maintaining logs or preparing documentation for audit purposes.
- A calm approach under pressure allows you to perform well during busy periods or when faced with tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel supports your ability to prepare presentations or analyse data efficiently.
- Minimum GSE (or equivalent) in core academic subjects is required; A Level (or equivalent) qualifications are preferred.
