Job Description

 

This role is responsible for leading & deliver a global innovation program of ingredients used in coating, filling & beverages, with a specific focus on fats. This person is also responsible for the fat portfolio used in the BC organization. This person will manage a team of product experts to execute and deliver global innovation projects. This person will also manage the Compound Science Lab in the Global Innovation Center @ Singapore. 
The role reports to the VP, Cacao Coating CoE and R&D AMEA 

 

Key Responsibilities


Lead global innovation program on ingredients in coating, filling & beverage (20%)

●    Formulate the strategy of global innovation program on ingredients in coating, filling & beverage to drive the business growth in this category
●    Engage the leadership team in business and functions to gain the required support on global innovation program
●    Plan and manage required resources to deliver the innovation program

 

Manage global fat portfolio and support product innovation across the global (30%)

●    Responsible for the fat portfolio across the global
●    Use the product expertise to support product innovation activities across the global

 

Manage a team to deliver global projects (30%)

●    Manage a team of product experts to deliver global innovation projects on time in full
●    Engage cross-region and cross-functional teams to provide required support to deliver the global projects
●    Plan and manage required resources to deliver the innovation projects

 

Manage Compound Science Lab in Global Innovation Center @ Singapore (20%)

●    Manage operations of Compound Science Lab in Global Innovation Center @ Singapore
●    Plan and manage required resources to run Compound Science Lab and Sensory Lab in Global Innovation Center @ Singapore


About You
●    Master or PhD degree level in a Science or Engineering discipline, or equivalent, preferably in Food Science & Technology
●    Minimal 10 years of experience in a relevant role, and minimal 6 years of experience in a leadership role.
●    Fluent in English. A second language is a plus.
●    Able to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
●    An experienced product expert in ingredients used in coating & filling, with a specific focus on fats.
●    Good knowledge of product application, formulation and processing of coating & filling.
●    Good business acumen in markets across the global, or minimum in a specific region (AMEA, WEU, CEE, NAM, LATAM).
●    Good understanding of consumer and customer centric design of product innovation in a B2B business environment.
