Job Description
The registration clerk's purpose is to provide accurate registration for accurate billing. The registration clerk is responsible for gathering patient information for inpatients, outpatients, and all other points of registration, involving patient interviews, financial counseling, and insurance verification. Responsibilities also include explaining hospital policies regarding visitation, payment for charges, and services available; handling routine inquiries and problems; and ensuring positive public relations through careful execution of these duties.
Additional Job Description
Shift Information: Mid-shift position with scheduled hours falling between 11:00 AM and 11:30 PM. Exact shift times may vary within that timeframe based on business needs. Must be available to work every other weekend.
Education: High School Degree or Equivalent
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards
