Policy Planning Manager - Policy Planning & Training & Infrastructure - Trust and Safety
Job Description
The Policy Planning, Training, and Infrastructure (PTI) team sits at the center of T&S Policy, shaping how policy work is prioritized, executed, and scaled across the organization. Within PTI, Policy Planning plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction and driving operational excellence of T&S Policy—leading long-term planning and designing scalable processes that improve day-to-day execution and support long-term sustainability.
As a Policy Planning Manager, you will serve as a key driver of high-impact initiatives across Policy and the broader Trust & Safety organization. You will bring structure and clarity to complex, ambiguous work, and partner directly with stakeholders to drive alignment and decisions.
We are looking for someone who operates with a high degree of autonomy, forms clear, well-reasoned points of view, and proactively identifies and resolves gaps—moving beyond coordination to drive outcomes. This role will play a critical part in elevating execution quality, stakeholder management, and planning rigor across the Policy team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead high-priority efforts across the Policy, broader Trust & Safety and cross-functional workstreams, from early scoping through execution.
- Translate complex, undefined problems into clear frameworks, plans, and timelines that drive execution.
- Partner with stakeholders across Policy, Product, Legal, and Operations to align on priorities, navigate tradeoffs, and accelerate decisions.
- Surface gaps early, form clear points of view, and independently drive solutions in fast-moving environments.
- Build and refine scalable approaches to planning, prioritization, and execution to improve visibility and predictability.
- Raise the bar for execution, organization, and communication across initiatives.
- Contribute to annual roadmap planning, OKRs, and broader operational rhythms.
- Provide structured updates, highlight risks, and ensure stakeholders have visibility into progress and blockers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in public policy, law, social sciences, economics, communications, behavioral sciences, business management, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in program management, strategy & operations, consulting, or related fields.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives with minimal direction.
- Strong track record of bringing structure to ambiguous problems and driving them to resolution.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including experience working directly with leaders and driving alignment across competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to form structured, well-informed points of view and drive decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and consistently strong in execution.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Trust & Safety, Policy, or adjacent risk / platform integrity domains.
- Consulting or strategy & operations background.
- Experience building or improving operational systems and processes in complex organizations.
- Familiarity with policy development and enforcement systems within large-scale platforms.
- Familiarity with AI tools and ability to leverage them to improve workflows, analysis, or execution.
- Knowledge of social media platforms, content ecosystems, and/or video-sharing products.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving priorities.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2).
