About the Role

As a CT Technologist, you play an essential role in helping our clinical teams diagnose and treat patients with confidence. Using advanced imaging technology, you’ll create detailed cross-sectional images that support life-saving care.

This is more than operating equipment—it’s about guiding patients through their experience, helping them feel comfortable and cared for, and working closely with radiologists to deliver accurate, high-quality results.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care. You will:

Perform CT scans to produce clear, accurate diagnostic images
Prepare and position patients, explaining the procedure and answering questions
Monitor patients throughout exams to ensure comfort and safety
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to achieve optimal imaging results
Maintain imaging equipment and follow safety and quality standards
Schedule patients and support smooth daily workflow in the department

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience
License and Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of New York.
2. Registration Certification for Contrast Injection in the State of New York.
3. Current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Education and Experience
1. Associate’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist; or
2. Equivalent experience gained by the completion of technical training as a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an approved school or training institution may be substituted for the above experience requirement.

NOTE:
1. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the Registration Certification for Contrast Injection in the State of New York within six (6) months of their appointment to this title.
2. As a condition of continued employment, incumbents must obtain and maintain the certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within ninety (90) days of their appointment to this title.
3. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
