Shift: Day shift 7:00am – 4:00pm

Key position responsibilities include:
- Operate the DAF plant safely and efficiently, including routine checks and basic upkeep (e.g., cleaning the pH probe).
- Maintain plant and site housekeeping, keeping work areas clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Respond to issues and spills, containing and reporting as required, and escalating major incidents (blockages, stoppages, significant spills) to the Site Services & Maintenance Manager.
- Manage sludge and site waste, including sludge bin changeovers and safe handling/movement of all waste streams in line with environmental and company requirements.
- Coordinate waste removal, working with the Maintenance Planner to ensure timely collection of general waste and recyclables.
- Complete grounds and external area maintenance, including site clean-ups, water blasting, operating grounds equipment (e.g., the “goat”), and basic landscaping (hedges/greenery).
- Support general site services, including basic handyman tasks, assisting with contractor/site activities, and reporting hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
About you:
- Relevant hands-on experience in groundskeeping, waste management, site services, or general maintenance.
- Comfortable with plant operations—DAF/water treatment exposure is ideal but not essential (training provided).
- Practical, safety-focused operator with basic mechanical/handyman skills and the ability to use small machinery/equipment safely (e.g., water blaster, “site goat”, hedge trimmers).
- Physically fit and reliable, able to perform manual handling and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong communicator and team player, able to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a proactive “can-do” approach aligned to company values.
- Organised and adaptable, with the ability to plan work, support continuous improvement, and manage change as needed.
- Computer literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and site systems.
- Flexible to support a 24/7 operation, including participation in callouts when required.
