About the Team & Business Line:
Citco Group provides services to our Citco Group of Companies and helps business to succeed in client service excellence.
As a valuable member of our Group Compliance team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business operations and help them to achieve their goals.
The Group Compliance function strives for best practice across the divisions, providing technical support to the business functions, identifying, managing and reducing compliance risks across the business functions and continually developing key processes in line with industry and regulatory changes.
Your Role:
The compliance role will be part of the Group Compliance function, reporting to the SEVP, Compliance. The function is responsible for monitoring and reviewing compliance related operations, providing regulatory guidance and support to the various Citco business divisions in the Cayman Islands.
The VP, Compliance will assist local management in securing compliance with local regulatory legislation, as well as compliance with the Citco Group’s Global Financial Crime policies and guidelines.
In addition, the position will be responsible for liaising with Regulatory Authorities in the Cayman Islands in close coordination with Group Compliance and assisting with regulatory audits of these regulated entities. In respect of all regulatory developments in the Cayman Islands, the position advises the respective Boards of Directors and Group Compliance.
The position is also tasked with acting as Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the regulated entities in the Cayman Islands, including the filing of suspicious transactions reports.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures
- Remain current and informed about relevant local legislative and regulatory developments
- Review and maintain relevant policies and procedures as local legislation and requirements are amended
- Execute monitoring reviews
- Act as Compliance Officer and MLRO for the regulated entities
- Prepare and present compliance reports to the respective Board of Directors
- Assisting in Group Compliance initiatives, as needed
About You:
- You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or Economics.
- 5-7 years of Regulatory Compliance experience in Banking, Fund Administration, Trust and/or Corporate Services industry
- Prior experience as a Compliance Officer and as a Money Laundering Reporting Officer, including engaging directly with regulators
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory matters, especially Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
- Prior experience in executing regulatory change gap analyses and implementation would be beneficial
- Prior experience in the planning, fieldwork and reporting stages of Compliance Monitoring reviews would be beneficial
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of management
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
