A day in the life
As Manager, Capital Deployment, you will drive growth across the Madrid market by identifying, evaluating, and executing land acquisitions, build-to-suit developments, and speculative development opportunities. Working as part of a collaborative Spanish team of approximately 25 professionals, you will partner closely with Development, Leasing, Project Management, Customer Experience, Legal, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality logistics real estate solutions. This role combines strategic investment thinking with hands-on deal execution and market engagement. You will play a key role in expanding and enhancing a best-in-class portfolio that supports global commerce while maintaining strong relationships across the Madrid logistics real estate market.
Key responsibilities include:
- Originate, evaluate, and execute land and building acquisitions, dispositions, and build-to-suit development opportunities within the Madrid market.
- Analyze investment opportunities and develop financial and strategic recommendations to support capital deployment decisions.
- Lead transaction processes, including negotiations, due diligence coordination, and stakeholder management through closing.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners to advance development projects from opportunity identification through delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, landowners, municipalities, and other market participants to source and secure opportunities.
- Develop deep market intelligence on logistics, industrial, and supply chain real estate trends, competitors, and customer requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by challenging existing processes, supporting innovation, and embracing organizational change.
Building blocks for success
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, investment, leasing, or a related field.
- Proven experience structuring, negotiating, and executing real estate transactions.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Strong financial analysis and strategic decision-making skills.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Established knowledge of the Spanish commercial real estate market and relevant industry network.
Preferred:
- Experience with logistics, industrial, or supply chain real estate assets.
- Experience leading build-to-suit and speculative development projects.
- Track record of sourcing off-market opportunities and developing strategic market relationships.
- Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrates willingness and capability to leverage emerging technology, automation, and AI tools to improve efficiency, quality, and speed. Exercises sound judgment, creative thinking, and accountability for outcomes.
