Job Purpose

Support Power Sports Products (PSP) New Model Development by leading and implementing new upcoming regulations into the development plans. Collaboration with Project Teams to ensure regulation compliance in considered at the start of each project. Inform planning for upcoming regulation risk and support development of contingency plans to mitigate risk. Create and support implementation plan and execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage upcoming, existing regulations updates, and monitor regional regulatory items for impact for PSP in a manner that can be easily understood by Development Planning Teams.; Frequent reporting is to keep leadership up to date is highly important
  • Work with  American Honda Product Regulatory Office ( AH PRO), Product Liability to achieve goals related to regulatory issues for PSP. 
  • Support Development Teams to ensure compliance of new regulations; Develop easy to use tools with work breakdown so team can easily understand track and report compliance.
  • Report to Planning Upcoming Regulation Risk and Implementation Schedule Proposals; Maintain Cadence input for report for Line Up Planning for 6month rolling schedule.
  • Provide Planning information for Planning Package and Implementation Plans in advance of C Events for New Model Development.
  • Identify Global regulation trends and engage in the regulation advisory board for (ISO/ANSI/ROHVA,etc) as window person to engineering experts both Japan and US. Support PRO in new requirements and coordinate official response through engineers.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years of related work experience; experience working in regulatory compliance may be substituted.

 

Other Job-Specific Skills:

  • Powersports Market and Product Experience
  • Project Management Experience and Process Experience to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong Communication, Presentation, and Interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Office tools and Regulation Data Management (Word, PPT, Excel, etc)

 

Working Conditions

  • Travel: Average of at least 1-2 times annually. Amount may vary significantly base on project assignments and business demands.

  • Primarily work at a desk; frequent keyboarding, limited kneeling, standing squatting, reaching or bending

  • Overtime: Expected based on project demands/project outcomes/and business needs
