Agriculture Worker I (Part Time) (Gila County)

Agricultural Operations: Assists with planting and soil maintenance on several garden projects at the elementary schools, detention center, office demonstration gardens. Work with gardening hand tools to perform planting, pruning, install and maintain irrigation equipment and harvesting crops carefully. Assists with livestock workshop event set-up and maintenance of facilities for rancher education workshops on animal husbandry, health, nutrition and hoof care. Assist with Programming set-up and office maintenance: Workshop setup and preparation. Assists with hands-on youth activities in 4-H, STEM, soil science, and livestock education. Maintains safe workspaces, organizing educational materials, and assisting with operational support for outreach and agricultural programming. Knowledge, Skills Abilities Familiarity with basic farming practices and soil science, irrigation systems, fertilizing, and composting. Familiarity with safe pest and weed control. Familiarity with general livestock practices and facility maintenance.
