Job Description
Key responsibilities and day to day responsibilities of this position: Preparing, cooking and serving food without waste and to meet budgetary and quality assurance expectations. Meeting required Federal, State, and County Health Department food service regulations and OSHA standards of health, safety and sanitation. Ensures that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures. Destroys or disposes of outdated, sensitive documents, blank warrants, expired food stamps, etc., in a manner appropriate for the sensitivity. Cooks, bakes, or serves regular and/or special meals to clients and/or staff. Coordinates an inventory management system to effectively control and distribute supplies and equipment. Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment. Maintaining excellent customer service skills. Maintain exemplary work habits.
