Senior Construction Manager
Role Context:
Worley are looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the Worley Denmark Construction team in Copenhagen. You will play a key part in driving construction activities and tender campaigns for local projects.
A successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing large EPCM green hydrogen pipeline project. This is a flagship project lasting till the end of 2030, site presence will be required as the project develops and grows.
You'll be:
· Implementation of Company HSE Policy & Plan relating to the Project and in particular, Contractor compliance. Refer to Construction HSE Management plan.
· Ensure safe, efficient and structured delivery of all construction activities in accordance with the Project schedule, Worley and, where applicable, client procedures
· Develop Construction Execution Planning during the Engineering phase (with appropriate functional input) including:
- Construction Execution Plans and Procedures
- Temporary Facilities Requirements
- HSE Planning and Programmes
- Advance Work Packaging
- Handover and Completions Planning
· Engage with Project Management, Engineering and Client for the purposes of Constructability, Planning and Operational Constraints
· Ensure the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of resources to meet schedule requirements.
· Ensure all personnel are competent and compliant to T&C matrix and possess the required qualifications / skills for the specific scope of work
· Organise and Manage the Construction Team in delivery of their duties
· Audit/review of construction process ensuring where applicable recommendations are implemented.
· Ensure MOC (Management of Change) compliance and adherence throughout project lifecycle
· Drive the “right to left” delivery model and ensuring all design has sufficient construction input
· Ensuring Execution plan gate criteria readiness and demonstration of mitigation to execution risks
· Develop the Construction Schedule in conjunction with the Construction Planner
· Review of Contractor Schedules
You'll have:
· Recognized discipline background
· Several years’ experience at management level in the Engineering Construction Industry
· Ability to communicate effectively with the Stakeholders involved in the Project both verbally & in writing. Methodical work ethic; ensuring consistency in output. Capable of working independently
· Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project /Construction/Commissioning practices and procedures and Tools
· Personnel management experience (knowledge transfer)
· Excellent communications skills
· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
· Analytical and problem-solving skills
