Job Summary

We are continually searching for great talent; individuals who possess a deep commitment to the customers and markets we serve. If you would like to join a company that is committed to the success of each employee and offers challenge, purpose and the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a team-oriented environment, you'll enjoy a career with us! We understand that fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is critical for the success of our business, and we actively work towards it every day.

The Product Manager, Identity and Compliance will own and advance a key area of FCT’s digital identity verification and compliance product portfolio. This is a hands-on product role for someone who can connect strategy to execution: understanding customer and stakeholder needs, defining the product priorities, shaping requirements against a roadmap, and partnering closely with technology and operations, to drive measurable improvements in customer experience, retention, and ultimately business growth.

Reporting to the VP, Strategy, Data, and Product Development, this role will be working across Technology, Operations, Legal, Risk, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to solve practical product problems in a regulated, B2B environment. The Product Manager will need to balance customer value, business objectives, compliance considerations, and technical feasibility while helping the team make clear tradeoffs to progress the strategy forward of becoming the industry standard in how our customers deal with KYC and AML requirements.

The successful candidate will be expected to operate at multiple altitudes: contributing to product strategy and roadmaps while also driving the detailed work to make the product better. That includes customer discovery, roadmap management, prototyping and PRDs as well as analyzing product performance to direct how we continuously improve the experience and create more value for our customers.

The ideal candidate is a high-agency Product Manager who takes ownership of outcomes, can bring structure to ambiguity, and consistently looks for ways to improve both the product and the product management process. They are passionate about the real work of product management: aligning stakeholders, clarifying tradeoffs, following through on the delivery details, and learning from data and customers to delivery tangible business outcomes.

HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:

Reporting to the VP, Strategy, Data, and Product Development, the key responsibilities of the Product Manager are:

  • Own a key market segment of our Identity and Compliance products with autonomy to define long term strategy, product roadmap, and lead daily efforts across a cross-functional team focused on continuous discovery and delivery.

  • Work alongside Engineering, Design, Data/Analytics, and Marketing teams to define, build, deploy, and scale products that will lead the industry.

  • Become an expert in the customer’s job-to-be-done, buying/adoption context, operational workflows, and pain points. You’ll build deep customer empathy and advocate internally as the voice of the customer.

  • Quickly build a deep understanding of the technical underpinnings of digital identity verification inclusive of document verification, liveness detection, set-up verifications and multi-factor verification approaches. A key to success in this role is also understanding the evolving FINTRAC requirements to help our customers comply with KYC and AML regulations.

  • Communicate with clarity and precision across stakeholders to drive internal alignment especially on matters related to business model viability, regulatory changes, and evolving market risks.

  • Instrument, measure, and report on the key business drivers that impact growth, retention and profitability.

  • You will plug into market trends, competitor activities, and how enabling technologies such as AI can impact our strategic plan and roadmap. Your ability to understand and anticipate market needs will be key to positioning our products for success and identifying new growth opportunities.

  • Support the team in go-to-market and distribution plans that uniquely position the product in the market while ensuring launches have measurable hypotheses, adoption goals, feedback and learning loops.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Product Management role within B2B or enterprise SaaS. You can quantify the impact you have delivered.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an adjacent Business-Technology field. Equivalent and unique experience will be considered.

  • Proven capability to shift between building new products (“0 to 1”) and shipping continuous improvement and step-function innovation (“1 to N”) to an existing product portfolio.

  • You are AI-forward in how you work, instinctively looking for ways to use AI as leverage across the product management lifecycle (strategy, discovery, research synthesis, prototyping, communication, and delivery). You’ll demonstrate how you utilize AI as a thinking partner and how it helps you build repeatable frameworks and develop new ways of working that unlock speed, consistency, and better decision outcomes.

  • Ability to demonstrate technical aptitude (i.e. software development lifecycle, basic system architectures, generative AI, APIs/MCPs/CLIs, and data models and structures). You understand enough to evaluate technical tradeoffs and help simplify decisions that impact product feasibility.

  • You have keen ‘product sense’ and great product taste, which is demonstrated through decisions you have influenced, tradeoffs made, and measurable outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences and influence through collaboration.

  • Driven by results, with high achievement and high agency mindset. You thrive when the pace accelerates by being disciplined on prioritization, judgement, and where you allocate focus.

  • Lastly, while this role is an individual contributor role, you are the quintessential team player who makes everyone around you better!

Total Direct Compensation:

$122,000 to $149,200

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)

HERE’S WHAT SETS US APART:

Through mentoring, innovative tools, and a variety of programs that engage and reward, we empower each employee to be great and drive results.

  • Comprehensive benefits that include Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and Wellness Essentials

  • Group retirement savings plan with company match
