We have a fantastic opportunity for an Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team! This role is a vital part in the care of our residents and and to be a valued member of our community! We look forward to learning more about how, together, we can Transform the Perception of Age!
Pay Rate: $36.50-$41.50
Our Licensed Practical Nurses:
- Provide compassionate and effective care and treatments to our residents.
- Work with a team of professionals to ensure the residents comprehensive needs are met.
- Review routines, calendar of events and resident needs
- Ensure medications and supplies are ordered, in stock and counted
- Ensure all charting and record keeping is accurate and complete
- Attend meetings, trainings
- Give a thorough report to oncoming shift.
- Updates 24 hour report.
- Calendars appropriately for upcoming needs.
- Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age, our Culture of Excellence, in all areas of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed!
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Cleared Criminal Record clearance through the Department of Social Services prior to presence in the community.
- Health screening and TB test results not older than 6 months.
- Current First Aid Training and Certifications, per Title 22 guidelines.
- A current nursing license issued by the State of California is required.
- Minimum of six months in long term care, home care or related field.
- Demonstrated competence in technical and manual skills according to the scope of practice for RN's/LVN's.
- Working knowledge of computers and typing, sufficient enough to be successful with computerized Point of Care and other systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of aging process and implications of aging in a social setting.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, peers and employees in a multi-cultural environment.
- Completion of a background check, drug screen, physical, fingerprint, and TB test may be required per state and local guidelines (Title 22).
Physical Requirements:
- On occasion, may need to push/pull/support up to 75lbs.
