- Create positive working relationships and maintain regular contact with assigned accounts and prospective clients.
- Build partnering relationships with owners, property managers, and decision-makers responsible for mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repair services.
- Develop and execute business plans for defined targets, including methods, contact strategies, and short- and long-term goals for contract, quoted, and T&M work.
- Identify customer objectives, operational requirements, and pain points.
- Position renewable service agreements as a valuable and cost-effective partnership whenever feasible.
- Create competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates and proposals.
- Assist with developing and presenting marketing materials.
- Seek in-house technical support as needed.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Service Operations personnel.
- Track renewal dates and ensure proactive communication.
- Act as the customer’s advocate when issues arise.
- Monitor sales activities and pipeline health.
- Keep supervisor informed of account status.
- Support the collection process.
- Attend and present at relevant trade shows.
- Promote Murphy’s full range of offerings.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience in related field with strong emphasis on business or an equivalent amount of technical training and practical experience, or, a minimum 2 years of mechanical service, construction, or related experience.
- Strong understanding of Murphy’s policies and capabilities.

- Travel Requirements: <10%
- Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
- Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Moderate physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive standing and walking.
- Work requires local and occasional out-of-town travel to job sites and customer locations.
- Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and scaffolds and to negotiate work areas under construction.
- Minimum of $2,000,000 in annual sales and $100,000 in new maintenance contract sales per year, or market-adjusted goals.
