About the role:
We are looking for an OT Deployment Engineer to join our Global Operational Technology (OT) team supporting APM Terminals across the Americas. In this role, you will serve as the technical expert within deployment projects, helping implement, integrate, test, and support operational technology solutions in live terminal environments. Working closely with OT Project Managers, Deployment Leads, operations teams, and external vendors, you will play a key role in advancing operational excellence through the successful deployment of scalable technology solutions that improve terminal performance and operational efficiency.

- Work on innovative operational technology deployments across leading port and terminal operations.
- Collaborate with global teams, product specialists, and business stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Gain exposure to complex technology integration projects in live operational environments.
- Support continuous learning through hands-on project delivery, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead onsite technical deployment activities from site preparation through installation, commissioning, testing, and go-live support.
- Support the integration of OT products with terminal assets, systems, and operational processes.
- Collect, review, maintain, and improve technical documentation for deployment projects.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to oversee technical site activities.
- Monitor project risks, technical issues, and opportunities, providing timely updates to project leadership.
- Collaborate with Operations, QA, and Product teams to align testing, implementation, and deployment milestones.
- Support terminal teams through training, knowledge transfer, onboarding, and post-deployment stabilization activities.

- Engineering degree required; qualifications related to port technology are an advantage.
- Experience deploying industrial technology solutions involving control systems, instrumentation, or operational technology environments.
- Ability to design, implement, test, and integrate operational technology systems and infrastructure.
- Strong project experience with the ability to manage technical activities across multiple disciplines.
- Experience within ports, container terminals, transportation, logistics, distribution centers, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, hands-on approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Charlotte, NC
Travel Expectations: Frequent domestic and international travel throughout the Americas, with regular site visits and occasional future assignments in other regions.
Salary: $130,000 - $150,000*
*The stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary and may be adjusted based on market conditions, experience, and location. Final compensation will be discussed directly with the selected candidate(s) in compliance with all applicable laws.
