Administrator - Database Ops

Position Summary

Database Administrator is responsible to maintain the  performance, integrity and security of all databases systems to provide stable environment for all applications in GEG. Perform Day-to-day monitoring and health check on all database systems. 

Primary Responsibility

• Maintain a high availability database system and data platform by performance tuning, pro-active monitoring, bottleneck identifying and backup/restore method fine-tuning
• Assist or undertake maintenance management on database servers and data platforms including evaluation of new releases and patches
• Manage database security and audit access management
• Provide technical advice on development, implementation and maintenance of database solutions that support business needs
• Maintain data platforms and data integration between application systems and external entities
• Performs on-call technical support and other duties as required
• Other duties may be assigned as required

Requirements

• University degree Computer Science or equivalent. 
• Minimum of 1 years of experiences working in database administration
• Different DBMS Certification of Profession is an advantage e.g. OCA, MCSA
• Communication and Troubleshooting skills is required
• Experiences in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and Clickhouse administration, Database Replication, Database HA, Data Migration and ETL process
• Experience in writing T-SQL, PL/SQL, triggers, stored procedures and functions are required
• Experience on data warehouse design and management is an advantage
• Experience in maintain and implement  in Kafka, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Power BI or other BI Tools is an advantage
• Experience in application development is an advantage
• Experience in casino and hotel management system is absolutely an advantage.
• Willing to learn new technology and ability to learn individually
