Job Description

We are seeking an experienced analytics and reporting product developer (5 years) to join our Global Operational Risk Insights & Analytics team at State Street Bank in Gdansk/Krakow. In this role, you will own prototyping, proof of concept development, executive reporting support of risk analytics products and reporting across Non-Financial Risks, including Operational, Technology/Cyber, and Compliance Risks. The ideal candidate combines strong data storytelling, modern technical fluency (SQL, Python, Power BI), and a builder mindset to modernize workflows, scale AI-enabled solutions, effectively and empathetically partner up with stakeholders.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements. Hybrid pattern is 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.

Risk reporting is the process of distributing information and analysis to internal stakeholders, focused on the measurement of risk and its drivers. Global operational risk analytics team cover internal and regulatory reporting, prototyping using data science approaches, and deployment of AI enabled reporting tools. The team provides strategic reporting solutions for Operational, Technology, Cyber Risk, and Compliance Risks. We partner closely with cross functional team members to support State Street strategic objectives, focusing on optimizing data workflows and elevating the quality, intelligence, and sustainability of our analytics. This leadership role demands exceptional communication and people management skills in addition to hands-on experience with development of analytics products for risk management.

What you will be responsible for

As a Senior Risk Analytics Products Developer you will

  • Design, improve prototypes delivering reporting and analytics across non financial risk management domains: compliance, operational risk management, technology risk management.
  • Develop analytics and reporting products using exploratory data analysis, feature development, model calibration, visualization and application of other data science methods, visualization
  • Produce clear, audit ready documentation, ensure data and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with data engineering to build scalable artifacts in support of team strategy
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand what they really need, leverage data science and engineering teams to deliver clear, decision‑ready dashboards and insights.
  • Drive modernization: move from manual workflows to controlled, automated and repeatable product pipelines.

What we value

  • Proficiency in building dashboards (Power BI), including data model setup, DAX measures, and report-level filtering logic.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with product development and deep practical skills in Python/Java/SQL/prompt engineering for data manipulation, scripting, process automation.
  • Proficiency with data science methods, agentic and generative AI tools and methods, to be able to create use cases for risk reporting and generation of insights (e.g. auto-generating commentary, anomaly detection, semantic search across large reporting schemas).
  • Compliance to data and reporting governance, change management requirements (data lineage, version control Git, source-of-truth principles).
  • Solid understanding of non financial risk, such as operational, technology, 3rd party, compliance, incident management, KRI, control data.
  • Ability to be the team's anchor, acting as a forward deployment engineering, for automation build, proof of concept and prototype development, comfortable writing scripts(using AI) that replace manual processes.
  • Exposure to data engineering (API integrations, schedule pipelines, data refreshes, controls, Excel-to-database migrations, or cloud storage (SharePoint, Azure) for report outputs.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience; 5 years leading analytics/reporting teams.
  • Experience modernizing pipelines / migrating manual processes into structured workflows.
  • Familiarity with governance tools/platforms (e.g., Databricks/Collibra), and risk/regulatory expectations relevant to NFR.
  • Advanced degrees in Information systems, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields
  • Demonstrated success developing, deploying, executing reporting and analytics products which produce measurable business value.

Additional requirements

Operational, enterprise, technology risk management or compliance experience is a plus

Minimum Salary:

zł182,004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
