Mechanic II Solid Waste SSD

Wasatch County Solid Waste SSD seeks Full-Time Mechanic II (Grade N). This position performs skilled journey level tasks related to the preventative and routine maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of district diesel and gas equipment. Requires equivalent to a high school diploma; Two (2) years vocational certifications in auto mechanics, diesel/heavy equipment service work, and welding; and four (4) years formal work experience performing automotive/heavy equipment mechanical duties. CDL Class A Driver's License preferred or obtained within first 6 months of hire. Job related education and/or experience may be combined to equal total education/experience requirements.
