Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Performance Management
Review and monitor Business Units’ monthly financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and proposing strategic action plans to be taken by management to optimise profits, cash flows and/or business processes
Review and monitor monthly sales and stock movement across all Business Units
Compile and review Business Units’ budget (income statement, balance sheet and cash flows) to establish the Group’s budget and business plan for each financial year (or half-yearly, when required)
Compile KPI targets and results for Group and Business Units
Project Feasibility & Financing
Review pricing and feasibility studies for upcoming products launches to ensure assumptions regarding selling prices and costing are reasonable, consistent and market-aligned
Periodic review of feasibility studies/ profit budgets to identify substantial deviations
Assist in the external financing procurement process, particularly for new projects/developments
Group Reporting, Compliance & Stakeholder Management
Manage the month-end closing and budgeting for specific investment holding and SPV companies
Assist in overseeing the financial reporting for specific joint venture projects of the Group
Assist in the financial reporting for management meetings and quarterly Bursa announcements
Collate and review financial data for various stakeholders, including management, banks/financial institutions, etc.
Administer and implement new accounting standards (MFRS) into existing financial reporting workflows
Business Intelligence & Special Projects
Partner with the Business Intelligence team to develop and refine automated financial reporting solutions, focusing on the streamlining of data collection and integrity
Undertake any ad-hoc assignments and strategic projects as required by management from time to time
