It also supports and facilitates the Wyoming Department of Education's role as a lead agency for individuals with hearing loss in the state. Additionally, it upholds the general supervision responsibilities of the Special Programs unit of the Wyoming Department of Education, as mandated by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.
