Training and Onboarding Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Training, Onboarding and Quality Manager to design and implement a comprehensive training program for our Underwriting Operations department
The Training, Onboarding and Quality Manager will partner with global teams to gather information and collaborate on the program, ensuring comprehensive support and leveraging resources to expedite the program design and rollout
What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include
Own the training strategy and training program oversight for Underwriting Operations
Design and build a comprehensive new hire training program including the necessary content and artifacts for the Underwriting Operations department, encompassing foundational knowledge of insurance principles, overviews of systems and processes, and role-specific skills development; ensure program is scalable to support business growth and cyclical hiring Manage the new hire onboarding and training as well as deliver the training content
Working closely with the hiring managers t to ensure successful implementation and delivery
Develop standardized templates to request technology and system access for all roles
Develop and support testing of all access to ensure new hires have system access required for their roles
Collaborate closely with global teams (e.g
Learning and Development, Knowledge and Education and Enterprise Shared Services) to gather information and leverage resources for the rapid development and deployment of the training program, using cost-effective solutions such as virtual delivery, in person sessions, web-based learning and learning activities to ensure broad accessibility
Partner with Human Resources, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to create training plans to include actions, timelines and owners
Create and maintain a training knowledge base that can be accessed by both new employees and existing staff Identify and address any challenges or constraints related to the development and deployment of the training program
Keep the training program updated, modify it over time, survey users, and adapt to feedback to ensure its effectiveness and relevance in the long term
Monitor quality of Underwriting Associates team’s performances, identify gaps, and incorporate into training as needed
Establish and monitor KPI’s and metrics
Ensure time to proficiency targets by team are monitored and progress is being made towards targets with a focus on reducing onboarding times
The role will report to the Head of Underwriting Operations
What we offer We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: A college degree and/or relevant experience in designing and implementing training programs, particularly in the Insurance Industry
Proficient in Microsoft applications and demonstrated use of technical tools to build and deliver training
Familiarity with Insurance applications and processes, including Guidewire, ImageNow, Workbench etc
Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to partner with global teams to gather information and resources, ensuring comprehensive support for program development and deployment
High degree of technical aptitude and demonstrated ability to create impactful training programs using cost-effective solutions, such as Microsoft products and live webinars
Ability to travel within US and Canada up to 50% of the time

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 109,600 – 191,700
Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location
