Job Description

Purpose:

The Innovation Marketing Manager is responsible for developing methodologies and required assets to objectively test new product concepts and business models with prospective consumers. Testing may occur via insight communities, proto-selling, digital marketing experimentation, or small-scale commercial launch. The information gained from these experiments and associated campaigns will provide valuable feedback to Delta Faucet Company’s development teams and ultimately help the organization understand market potential.

The Innovation Marketing Manager will also be accountable for the transition of new categories and technologies to the core business. This position will actively manage DFC’s Marketing Implementation Plan (MIP) process for concepts developed in the Innovation Lab, ultimately acting as an extension of the core business to bring these to launch.

Finally, this role will manage the First Wave brand and/or use of existing brands as appropriate; ensuring a suitable level of alignment with established brand guidelines. The Innovation Marketing Manager is responsible to develop and execute marketing plans aligned with First Wave goals and influence go-to-market strategies with chosen partners. A crucial part of this role is planning and hands-on execution of marketing tactics including social media, website content, collateral, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes First Wave branding plan, strategy, and guidelines

  • Identify and test concepts with consumer targets via identified methodologies

  • Develops and executes channel planning and strategy for small batch sales

  • Executes customer specific advertising and marketing initiatives when appropriate

  • Crafts and runs event-marketing strategies

  • Leads activities of external agency partners to achieve the above accountabilities

  • Leads the team through rapid iterations in all the above, as warranted by new insights

  • Proactively surfaces and resolves conflicting priorities with partners in the core business

  • Actively manages the transition of concepts/products to the core business (including marketing strategy and management of initial launch)

Metrics:

  • Number of consumer/influencer/customer engagements

  • Learning loop/market test cycle time

  • Core business adoption of, and quality of, marketing plans for transitioned projects

Education and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have a BS in Business or Marketing related field and at least 5 years of related marketing experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A solid understanding of market testing (simulated test marketing, digital marketing, etc.) is desired.

  • Proficiency in analyzing interpreting data from various sources and apply to business needs as well as understand consumer behavior-purchase process, brand positioning and shopping behavior.

  • This person should have the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization as well as with customers and consumers.

  • Lead with influence and guide others to align with business objectives and values.

  • Take a creative approach to solving business issues.

  • Experience working within or leading agency relationships is helpful.

  • This role should thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, hands-on and constantly evolving environment.

  • Objectively evaluate decisions based on the impact on the customer and display a willingness and ability to provide outstanding customer service.

  • Some travel required.

Hiring Range: $88,700.00 - $139,260.00 USD

Actual compensation may vary based on various factors including experience, education, geographic location, and/or skills.
