Job Summary
As Head of Application – PruOne and Products, you are responsible for having a thorough awareness of the company's system landscape, system architecture, and related business processes to ensure that all technical deliverables are in accordance with the standards and expectations set by the business stakeholders. This role is also responsible for interacting with the regional platform team to help ensure delivery of the regional platform for the company. This position requires leading, designing, and developing a technical end-to-end framework for a local solution or any integration with partner systems or external APIs.
Job Accountabililites
Head of Application on the areas of PruOne and Products, covering all the applications used in this area, by providing expertise in requirement gathering & analysis, solution design & documentation, and end-to-end technology delivery of business initiatives
Analyze current technology trends, regional technology roadmap, and internal company’s current technology state and design for future convergence and sustainability
Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates. Prepare the technical specification and maintain the changes
Partner with distribution, underwriting, and product teams to deliver seamless digital journey
Analyze problems and implement appropriate technical solutions
Ensure that all development and implementation are compliant with IT governance policy
Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications
Propose and establish a framework for necessary contributions from various departments
Account for possible project technical challenges on constraints including, risks, time, resources, and scope
Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions
Build and establish company software framework and development standards to align with regional direction
Lead an internal development team in implementation of local in-house mobile or web app system for business needs
Lead various technical integration with regional platforms or third-party platform system such as eWallet partner, bank partner, lead generation partner etc
Oversee project strategies and processes
Develop guidelines for software testing
Technical support and planning for application management post go-live of business-critical applications
Job Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree, preferably Major in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Management.
Sound knowledge on IT Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms
Good grip on non-functional areas like performance, scalability, human interaction, & good software design
Extensive knowledge/experience on SDLC processes
Proven experience in a leadership role within IT industry, managing teams and delivering IT projects or services
Strong understanding of IT principles, technologies, and trends, with a focus on areas relevant to the tribe’s domain
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their potential.
Strong strategic thinking and planning abilities, with the ability to align
Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and recommend appropriate solutions
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
