Mission Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our exceptional in-house rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Key Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive, voice, and fluency disorders
Assess and manage dysphagia and swallowing-related conditions
Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each resident’s goals
Collaborate closely with nursing, dietary, rehabilitation, and medical teams to ensure comprehensive care
Educate residents and families regarding therapy plans and progress
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as appropriate
Qualifications
Current and valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program
Strong interest in geriatric rehabilitation, stroke recovery, and cognitive-communication therapy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing patient care needs in a PRN setting
Skilled in working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
