Responsibilities:
You are technically competent in the Process discipline while following an existing procedure or work instruction without deviation. The incumbent carries out existing procedures and technical instructions without daily technical supervision and is authorized as competent within that area however requiring that the final output shall be checked/controlled by a Senior Engineer or Technical Authority. You are responsible to guide Assistant Engineers and contractors but without direct reporting accountabilities.
Required skills:
- Strong background in process engineering and process technologies with emphasis on hydrometallurgical plant operations;
- At least 6 years of experience in process improvement, hydrometallurgical complex, refinery operation or chemical industry;
- Demonstrate leadership skills with a focus on optimization and continuous improvement;
- Working knowledge and implementation of international standards as well as Ambatovy standards;
- Proficiency with computing tools as Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
- You have a strong interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills;
- Able to comply with rigorous work process, guide and mentor staff;
- You have a strong communication skill and confidence in challenging arguments;
- Holder of a Chemical/Metallurgy Engineering degree or equivalent from a recognized University.
