Job Description
COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets. Our supply chain network now branches across the Pacific and into South America.

Determine inventory accuracy by selecting specific items to be counted; comparing physical counts to computer inventory; preparing percentage of accuracy reports.

Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory

Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left

Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products to supervision - publish weekly and quarterly inventory metrics

Performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommends process improvements to eliminate them.

Safely operate fork lifts, reach trucks and pickers to access parts/materials located in rack/stacked storage locations.
Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Communication:
Effectively convey information to a variety of individuals; listen, understand and retain information and process feedback; In-person interaction with co-workers and supervisors.
Learning/Reading/Mathematical Comprehension:
Analytical ability and independent judgment.
Initiative to work in unsupervised manner
Apply concepte such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
Understand principles and techniques related to responsibilities
Read and write to access information on the computer, complete required paperwork, and interpret documents.
Distinguish aplha-numeric series and sequences
Learn and comprehend standard operating procedures and basic production techniques.
Visual Requirements:
Distinguish between various items for proper length, width, shape, color and other characteristics.
Read various digital and dial measuring instruments.
Motor Skills:
Hand/eye coordination to use hand tools and operate various gauges and measuring devices.
Stand, squat, kneel and bend for long periods of time regularly. Move between various work stations frequently.
Push/pull and reach with hands and arms frequently. .
Lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
Operate forklift, reach truck and pickers
Work at elevated levels
Environment:
Work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, possible temperature extremes, dirt, solvents, paper dust, etc.
Position exists on third shift only
Special Skills:
Excel spreadsheet experience preferred
Dependability:
Maintain satisfactory record of attendance and conduct. Work any shift and overtime as required.
