At Dallas Retirement Village, our Cook II team members play a key role in preparing made-to-order lunch and dinner meals for residents, guests, and staff. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, has strong cooking skills, and is committed to food quality, safety, and excellent customer service.

What You'll Do
Cook II team members are responsible for preparing and serving meals to order while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, safety, and sanitation.
Responsibilities include preparing menu items using commercial kitchen equipment, ensuring meals are prepared accurately and served in a timely manner, maintaining proper food storage and labeling procedures, monitoring food and equipment temperatures, following HACCP and food safety guidelines, assisting with inventory and receiving deliveries, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting overall dining operations.
You'll work closely with the culinary team to provide residents with enjoyable dining experiences and consistently excellent meals.
What You Bring
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to prepare meals according to recipes, standards, and specifications
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and recipe conversions
- Knowledge of basic kitchen equipment operation
- Food Handler's Card or ability to obtain upon hire
- Ability to complete HACCP training requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- Dependable, professional, and committed to quality service
