Job Description
The Civil Engineer – Railway Substructure is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, rehabilitation, and performance of all civil substructure assets along the railway corridor. This includes drainage systems, culverts, bridges, access roads, embankments, retaining structures, and associated earthworks supporting safe railway operations. The role ensures that railway drainage and civil infrastructure systems are structurally sound, hydraulically effective, and compliant with AML engineering standards. The Civil Engineer provides technical guidance, supervises execution of maintenance and repair works, supports capital and renewal projects, and ensures proactive identification and mitigation of civil infrastructure risks that could impact track stability or train operations.
