Job Description
The Sales and Structuring team is responsible for the structuring, pricing, and distributing of financial markets related instruments with particular focus on own manufactured products such as structured notes, warrants, vanilla rates products and also third party selected and syndicated products by the Bank. Both external clients and the internal network, including Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB), Retail network and Wealth Management are serviced directly with the focus to optimize and deliver a client centric experience to the client in relation to all financial markets’ services. The Sales Structurer function within this department acts as a technical commercial expert and key contact for internal and external clients in scope with focus on providing BIL manufactured solutions (structured notes, warrants, hedges, vanilla rates products, overlays, yield enhancement solutions etc.), and third party selected products where the right solution and support with pricing, idea generation and information is the main deliverable supporting the distribution of these products. Developing and creating sophisticated investment products and solutions for the network of clients and investors serviced by CIB Financial Markets (both internal and external), as well as relationship management with internal stakeholders, while maintaining a strong focus on the financial markets industry developments and opportunities are all considered key deliverables. Your next challenge: Act as a financial markets expert and key contact for own issued and manufactured products (structured notes, overlays, warrants, vanilla rates products etc.) by providing pricing, idea generation, structuring, product development and information for the various internal and external clients serviced by the department, which span from large institutional investors and financial institutions (including securities firms, asset managers, brokers etc.), to individual wealth management and retail clients. Structure. price and propose cross assets products and solutions (rates, equity, commodities, credit etc.) BIL structured notes, warrants and OTC derivatives both for clients who are custodised with the Bank but also clients on a brokerage base model where products are settled externally. To play current market themes, or tailormade solutions to suit the dedicated objectives of clients, where ideas are in line with client`s objectives, policy of the Bank or short-term opportunities arising in the market. Develop and produce product concepts, create pricing, performance and scenario models, seek product approvals where required, and perform product analysis, including scenario analysis and performance simulations (historical and forward looking). Create presentations and factsheets to present sophisticated structured investment ideas, concepts, strategies, products and solutions (including structured products, warrants, as well as hedging, overlay and derivatives strategies), for different types of investors /clients (both external and internal), as well as other stakeholders. Develop the product offering and issuance capabilities of the bank and follow the market and industry developments to ensure the bank’s offering is kept up to date, including the development and implementation of new payoffs, underlying strategies, product wrappers and legal formats. Assisting with the automation of different processes, including supporting the development and creation of tools and the structured products platform (front to end). Management of the entire issuance and process for new structured notes and other securitized instruments as well as (when occurring) off balance sheet investment instruments (repacks, securitizations etc.), from pricing, structuring and idea generation, to trading, execution and hedging, as well as booking the products and support the documentation creation. Manage and update the bank’s issuance and offering programmes for Structured Notes and Warrants, including both the European (EMTN) and Swiss programmes, as well as any supplements, ensuring that the bank’s offering and distribution aims and capabilities are appropriately reflected, as well as adding new payoffs, formats and setups where necessary. Draft and review documentation for Structured Products, including the Term sheets, Final Terms, Pricing Supplements and Key Information Documents. Manage relationships with external counterparties, determining the most suitable counterparty for different complex trades and managing counterparty approval and eligibility for hedging purposes, OTC derivatives and third party issued structured notes. Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, Legal, Risk and Operations to ensure good product governance and alignment with the banks commitments and capabilities, as well as the regulatory environment. Assist projects that support the development of the Bank’s own product gamma, especially structured products business, from the development of tools and platforms to enhancements of the Bank’s infrastructure and systems. Supports and contributes to product training and education programs to further build the know-how of advisors, relationship managers and business developers especially in the area of Structured Notes and Derivative solutions.
