Quality Inspector CTSC
Summary
Advanced Technology Systems Company in Gilbert, AZ is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team. The Inspector will report to and work directly with the Quality Manager. They will support the daily incoming, In Process and Final Inspection tasks that occur in inventory, shipping and receiving, and production.
Essential Responsibilities
• Perform Incoming, InProcess, and Final inspections of mechanical, electrical, and electronic assemblies using GD&T, drawings, and precision measurement tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create and maintain inspection checklists and inspection documentation for all phases of production.
• Identify, document, and contain nonconforming material; support NCMR, RTV, and corrective action processes.
• Verify configuration, serial number control, and completeness of manufacturing documentation and finished assemblies.
• Support DCMA inspections and ensure all required materials and serial numbers are properly prepared.
• Train and mentor Quality Inspector I personnel on inspection standards and ATSC quality processes.
• Maintain inspection records, quality artifacts, and configuration data in established quality systems.
• Communicate inspection results, quality issues, and documentation needs with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized inspection area and follow all company quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GEDrequired
- 3years of hands-on work experience inQualitypartInspectionsand assembly inspections
- Experience working with GD&T
- Welding Inspection experience is a big plus
- May include local travel toinitiateQuality Source inspections
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Word,Accessand Excel
- Understanding of Inventory numbering and product identification processes is a plus
- Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task and adapt to change quickly
- Experience working in Aerospaceand Constructionindustriesisa plus.Aerospace experience will be valued over construction experience
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work will be performed inbotha warehouseand officeenvironmentwith 80% of the work being performedinthe warehouse floor
- While performing the duties of this job, the employeeis regularly required tostand,sitdemonstratemanual dexterity, talk, hear and see.Must be able to stand/bend/kneelforlong periodsof time
- Must be able toliftupto50pounds throughoutthe course of the workday
- Must be able to read,writeand speak English
