Job Purpose:
Provides guests and staff with a clean and orderly environment
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)
Provides guests and staff with clean and orderly gaming and work environment by scrubbing floors, cleaning and dusting vents, ceiling tiles, walls, columns, lights, and light fixtures following established procedures.
Ensures the cleanliness of casino and office carpets by vacuuming daily, chemically pre-treating spots, and running the hot water deep-cleaning machine on a monthly basis following established procedures.
Maintains the deep-cleaning machinery by draining, cleaning, and airing out machinery after each use.
Assists the Environmental Services Shift Supervisor by reporting the amounts of chemicals, equipment and supplies used, minimizing waste of product, and reporting any defective or damaged machinery and/or equipment.
Job Specifications:
Education and Experience:
Essential:
1 year experience with floor and carpet care equipment
1 year of housekeeping and/or custodial experience
Desirable:
High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or GED
Skills and Knowledge:
Essential:
Working knowledge of deep-cleaning chemicals
Ability to use hot water dirt extractors
Ability to use power wash equipment
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language
Ability to read in the English language
Ability to stand and walk for up to ten hours at a time
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to reach, kneel and bend
Ability to appear for work on time
Ability to complete forms
Ability to interact effectively with team members and guests
Ability to maintain professionalism and composure
Ability to understand and follow verbal directives and written directions
Ability to accept constructive criticism
Ability to work in a smoking environment
Ability to work the graveyard shift
