Job Description

Position Summary

The Safety Sales Specialist drives sales growth by providing expert guidance on safety products, solutions, and services for industrial customers. Combining technical product knowledge with consultative selling, this position helps clients meet Canadian health and safety standards (OHSA, CSA, WHMIS/GHS). The specialist works closely with sales teams and vendor partners to assess risks, recommend tailored PPE, gas detection, fall protection, and training solutions, and support seamless implementation.

South-Shore from Longueuil to Sorel + Montérégie/Centre du Québec


Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify customer safety needs through site visits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
  • Recommend and sell CSA-compliant PPE, gas detection, fall protection, and related safety solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical support, and safety training for customers and stakeholders.
  • Develop targeted safety programs in collaboration with Key Account Managers, Inside Sales, and vendor partners.
  • Drive engagement through targeted safety campaigns, territory-specific promotions, and new product launches. 
  • Maintain accurate records and track sales activities using CRM and digital tools.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-ups to ensure successful implementation, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals, KPIs, and service levels as defined by management.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support evolving team, departmental, or organizational goals.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, actively maintain a safe work environment, and promptly report any hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions to a supervisor.

Required Qualifications

 Education:

  • Post- secondary degree in safety, technical, or business-related field.

 Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years in sales or a related customer-facing role.

 Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.

  • Creates structured documents, applies intermediate Excel formulas/charts, designs effective presentations, manages calendars/meetings, and collaborates via Teams.
  • Manages pipelines, customer data, and reporting within CRM.
  • Designs presentations using visuals, transitions, and data visualization. Communicates effectively to internal audiences.
  • Delivers structured, confident presentations to varied audiences. Adjusts based on feedback.
  • Technical knowledge of safety equipment and PPE.
  • Familiarity with Canadian safety regulations (OHSA, CSA, WHMIS/GHS).
  • Lifts 50 lbs frequently and safely while following protocols.
  • Fluently communicates in both French and English across a range of routine and professional tasks; consistently understands and responds to instructions, inquiries, and conversations with ease.

Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions

  • Remote work model with frequent travel to customer sites; occasional overnight stays may be required.
  • 40-hour work week.
  • May require wearing protective clothing or equipment on job sites.
