As part of our interdisciplinary project teams, you will design automation systems from concept through to implementation. In close coordination with our project managers and engineers from other disciplines, you will ensure successful project execution in terms of quality, cost, and timeline, with a strong focus on maximum customer satisfaction.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Handling work packages ranging from simple to highly complex within projects
- Identifying, clarifying, and defining technical project requirements for automation systems
- Designing, planning, procurement, commissioning, and qualification of automation systems for process plants
- Preparing specific design documentation (e.g. URS, TS, DS, HDS, SDS, FS, test plans)
- Supporting project management in scheduling, reporting, contract, and change management within the automation discipline
- Coordinating interfaces between production systems, utilities, media, and other auxiliary systems
- Coordinating, monitoring, and managing involved project stakeholders (clients, planners, suppliers) across all project phases
- Actively contributing to the further development of our department and I&C standards
Show your expertise
You bring project experience, solid technical expertise, and a strong understanding of complex technical interrelationships.
- Degree in engineering or comparable qualification in automation, electrical engineering, mechatronics, information technology, or a related field
- Ideally, professional experience in a GMP-regulated environment or within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry
- Project experience, particularly in process automation
- Experience with automation systems for process plants such as:
- Production facilities, package units, and skids
- Supporting utility systems (e.g. clean media generation and distribution, chemical storage)
- Broad technical know-how in various areas of automation engineering, such as instrumentation, measurement and control technology, process control systems, industrial communication systems, electrical design and engineering, and functional/process safety
- Responsible, structured, and independent working style
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Very good German and English language skills (corporate language)
- Willingness to travel within a radius of up to 500 km from the hiring location and flexibility depending on project requirements
